Getting There & Back

About Our Friday Fitness Treks

Our Friday Fitness Treks take place every other week.* These urban adventures last about 90-minutes and cover about 3-4 miles. If you come on one of these treks you can expect to:

  1. Have fun
  2. Get some exercise (3-4 miles at a quick pace**)
  3. Make some new friends
  4. Learn something new about ATL
  5. Focus areas will vary and include Decatur, Downtown, Grant Park, Inman Park, Midtown, Old Fourth Ward
  6. We try to start at or near a MARTA station or other location that is easy to get to
* Private tours, weather and other factors may preempt these treks. Please check our Tour Calendar for the most current schedule.
** You must be able to easily walk 3-4 miles at a fast pace in all weather conditions. If you are unsure about your ability to do this please do not sign up for this event.

Typical Itinerary

  • 0945, Assemble at starting location
  • 1000, Trek begins
  • 1130, Trek ends
  • 1230, Optional lunch (in most cases we will go to a nearby restaurant for lunch after the trek)

  • Some treks end at the starting location while others do not.
  • If they do not, your tour guide will explain how to get back to the starting location or your final destination.
  • Parking is limited at many meeting locations. Using a ride sharing service like Lyft or Uber to get to/from will give you the most flexibility.
  • If you can bike or walk to the meeting location that's even better
  • Dog and children are generally welcome. Please check with your tour guide first to make sure.
