PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO THE PEACH BOWL WE HAVE DECIDED TO HAVE EVERYONE (BIKERS & WALKERS) BEGIN AT THE CARTER CENTER. PLEASE DISREGARD INSTRUCTIONS BELOW. THANK YOU.
Join us for our first annual "Terminus Trek" (aka, New Year's Day Walk & Roll). You can BIKE, WALK or BLADE. This event is open to members and non-members. There is no charge to register but we are asking everyone to make a small contribution to the Atlanta Civil Conversations Project if they are able. Thank you.
You have two options (groups) to choose from. Both routes will take you to the Zero Mile Post (ZMP), which is where the name Terminus (original name of Atlanta) came from. The ZMP is not accessible to the public at this time but you will get to see the building it is in.
You can BIKE / ROLLER BLADE or you can WALK. Both groups begin at noon. After the tour, they will meet at Georgia Beer Garden (just in time for some bowl action) around 1:30 for an optional New Years Day celebration.
The BIKE / BLADE route begins at the Carter Center. The entire route (returning to Carter Center) is aprox 13 miles (11.5 miles to Georgia Beer Garden).
The WALKING route begins at the Philips Arena / GWCC MARTA station. The entire route (ending at the Inman Park MARTA station) is about 5 miles (3.25 miles to the Georgia Beer Garden).
