Our first Magellan Club members-only event of the year will be hosted at the home of one of our MC members in Buckhead. The evening will feature a multi-cultural dinner and conversation about travel. You will get to hear first-hand from five members who have planned travel adventures for us in 2017. Each trip organizer is also preparing a dish that is typical of their city / country of origin Each guest is asked to bring a bottle of wine or dish that compliments the presentations below. See this discussion forum for more on the food and wine situation. Here are the presentations:

  • Chip Ivie, a Nashville native has put together a FUN trip to his hometown the weekend of April 21-23. This road trip features food, music and a cookout at his sister's house!
  • Julie Shaffer has planned an exclusive culinary experience to the Piemonte region of Italy on Sept 10-20, 2017. This tour can only accommodate six people! We are talking Milan, international cheese festival, private cooking classes, truffle hunts and Barolo vineyards. • Luigi Perez, who owns Outland Cuisine and is the president of the Argentinian-American Chamber of Commerce for the Southeastern USA, has planned an incredible trip to Buenos Aires and Mendoza that includes art, culture, dance, food, wine and adventure.
  • Cristina Lozano-Fernandez and her sister, Beatriz who exports specialty foods (oils, truffles, etc.) from Spain have put together not one, but two, itineraries that you will not find anywhere else. Both begin with three days in Madrid. One goes south to Toledo, C├íceres and Merida. The other one goes north to Segovia, Avila and Salamanca. These ancient cities are off the beaten path and most are UNESCO world heritage sites.
